Our hearts are heavy with grief for the passing of your father "Vest". His earthly journey is complete now and he is at rest. The Bible says "to be absent from the body is to be present with the Lord" and I know Vest is celebrating in heaven with the Lord and love ones gone on before. We will always remember him for his kindness, warm smile, and for his home-made refreshments when we visited him in Mt Gilead. To the Horne family; may you find comfort in the coming days knowing that earth has no sorrow that heaven cannot heal. It is our hope that thru his passing, you draw closer to each other and to our Lord and savior Jesus Christ.

To Stella, Mike, Pat, Emma:

My condolences to you and your family on the death of your father. I have heard many happy and funny stories about your father and feel fortunate that you have shared them with me. I have spent alot of time with your family and feel your loss. I remember the first time that I met your father when I first visited NC, he had a bright warm smile that was so welcoming to me and I shall not forget that about him. May your memories of your father comfort and keep you during this time as you prepare a wonderful homegoing for him. My prayers are with each of you as you search for comfort and peace. Know that the love of Jesus Christ, Lord and Savior of us all will sustain each of you through these difficult days ahead. Keep your faith and pray without ceasing and God will make your path smooth. While the passing of my Father In Law is a sad time, in many ways, I reflect on my time witj him and getting to know Sylvester Horne as a man and a father. It is a happy memory. While his family grieves, we all remember the man he was and remams in our memories. I wish Sylvester a safe passage tp Heavens Gate.
