Lameen Lashaun Williams

MR. LAMEEN LASHAUN WILLIAMS, 44 of MONROE, NC passed away Tuesday, September 28, 2021 at Atrium Health / Union in Monroe, NC.

Funeral Services will be held 3:00 pm Saturday, October 9, 2021 at  Christ Bible Discipleship Worship Center, 1019 Unarco Rd., Marshville, NC.  Mr. Williams remains will lie in repose 2:00 pm to 3:00 pm at the church prior to the service.  Interment will follow in Lakeland Memorial Park in Monroe, NC.

(Due to the COVID 19 Pandemic everyone attending the Services and Public Viewing are reqiured to wear a  mask or facial covering.  Also please use the Hand Sanitizing Station when entering and exiting the Funeral Home.)  

A  public viewing will be held  2:00 pm to 6:00 pm Friday, October 8, 2021  at Harris Funeral Home & Cremations of Monroe, NC.

Lameen LaShaun Williams was born on August 29, 1977, to the proud parents of Gail Williams and the late Larry Moore.

Lameen was educated through the Nassau County School District.  He played football for Elmont Memorial High School from eighth to twelfth grade.  His position was tight end and he was number 61.  He received several trophies and certificates by his senior year..  He received a personal letter from the Disttrict Athletic Director commending him for his dedication, character and sportsmanship.  This was followed by two newspaper articles in the Sunday paper  and he attended Nassau Community College. On saturdays, you could find him coaching football to the local youth. This kept them busy and off the streets.  This was the foreshadowing of him becoming the proud owner and coach 9f the Carolina Venom Football Team in Charlotte, NC.  Their motto is, Where its more than just a team, it's family!

Lameen made the decision to move to North Carolina, where he could be close to family.  Shortly after moving here, Lameen met his wife Latisha "Von" Williams.  He held nothing back about his intentions with her.  They met in April 2015. he proposed  in May of 2015 and they married Octobr 23, 2015.  They were strong together for 6 years.

Lameen's career was telecommunications and he loved it. Lameen 's career choice fit his lifestyle.and his personality.  He was employed as a fourth level technician with Enersys (Alpha Technologies) for several years where he developed close friendships especially with his supervisor, Chris Manis.  Thank you Chris and Enersys for all the love and support you provided to our family during this time of bereavement.

Lameens personality was infectious and people gravitated to him.  To know him was to love him.  He represented and embodied the true meaning of family.  He enjoyed planning and going on family trips to capture memories.  Lameen was well known by all for his master grilling skills.  He swore that  no one could compare to him.  His favorite line was "A yo, we throwing some burgers and franks on the grill.  Y'all slide through and grab something to eat."  When there, he  made sure everyone was well fed.  Thanksgiving was his favorite holiday.  He prepared enough food for a whole football stadium.  It made his heart happy to see family and friends fellowship with love and laughs.  He desired to love  like Christ and he accomplished that thrugh many years of giving back to the community abd feeding the homeless.  He knew what it meant to to be a loyal husband, dad, brother, son, friend, uncle, coach, co-worker and cousin.

Lameen departed his earthly life on Tuesday, September 28, 2021 and is resting in eternal peace.  He is preceded in death by his father, Larry Moore; uncle, Barney Moore and grandparents, Colne and Margaret Williams and Biddy Moore.

Lameen leaves to cherish with precious and fond memories to his beloved wife, Latisha Von Williams; his children, Lameen Williams, Jr., Destiny Williams, Nasya Allen, Jayden Williams, Aubrey Williams and Ezekiel Williams; his mother, Gail Williams; sisters, Latoya Williams and Jazmine Henry; grandmother, Rose Moore; aunts, Regina Moore and Margaret Simmon; uncles,Kelvin Williams and Michael Simmons; nephews, Tyshaun Williams, Christian Cauthen and niece, Shaniyah Bryant Williams and a host of family, friends, co-workers and his Venom Football Family.
