Henry Lawrence Medlin

MR. HENRY LAWRENCE MEDLIN, 69 of MONROE, NC passed away Sunday, January 2, 2022 at his home.

Funeral Services will be held 1:00 pm Friday, January 7, 2022 at the Friendship Missionary Baptist Church, 501 P.E. Bazemore Dr., Monroe, NC. Mr. Medlin's remains will lie in repose 12:00 pm to 1:00 pm at the church prior to the service.  Interment will follow in the Hillcrest Cemetery in Monroe, NC.

(Due to the COVID 19 Pandemic everyone attending the Service and Public Viewing are required to wear a mask or facial covering.  Also please use the Hand Sanitizing Station when entering and exiting the Funeral Home.)

A public viewing will be held 2:00 pm to 6:00 pm Thursday, January 6, 2021 at  Harris Funeral Home & Cremations of Monroe, NC.

 Henry Lawrence was the son of the late, Henry Richard Thompson and the late Nezzie Carelock Medlin and was born on November 26, 1952. 

Lawrence was raised in Monroe, NC and was a graduate of Monroe High School.  He was a member of Friendship Missionary Baptist Church.

Lawrence worked for the Community Action under Cornelia Sutton.  He also worked at Kentucky Fried Chicken under Rochell Thomas.

Lawrence was preceded in death by his parents; Henry Richard Thompson and Nezzie Carelock Medlin; grandmother, Mary Carelock; brothers, John Lee Medlin, Jerry Medlin, Lendell Medlin and L.B. Blount; brother-in-law, JamesTheodore Maske and sister-in-law, Luzzina Blount and nephew, Richard Medlin, Jr.

He leaves to cherish his memories to his loving daughter, Curby Rorie of Monroe, NC; his loving son, Jeremiah Medlin of Concord, NC; one granddaughter, Remiyah Richardson of Monroe, NC; one brother, Richard Lee Medlin (Betty) of Charlotte, NC; four sisters, Lorene Butler of Seat Pleasant, MD, Mary Elizabeth Medlin of Monroe, NC,Elaine Maske,  of Monroe, NC and Mildred Medlin of Maryland, and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
