Daphne Marie (Hill) DeBerry

MRS. DAPHNE MARIE HILL DEBERRY, 59 of ASHEBORO, NC formerly of Candor, NC (Dry Creek Community) passed away Sunday, December 12, 2021 at Randolph Health in Asheboro, NC.

Funeral Services will be held 12:00 pm Saturday, December 18, 2021 at the East Montgomery High School Auditorium, 157 Eagle Lane, Biscoe, NC with her remains to lie in repose 11:00 am to 12:00 pm at the Auditorium prior to the service.  Interment will follow in the Bruton  Cemetery in MT. Gilead, NC (Wadeville Community)

(Due to the COVID 19 Pandemic everyone attending the Service and Public Viewing are required to wear a mask or facial covering.  Also please use the Hand Sanitizing Station when entering and exiting the Funeral Home.)

A public viewing will be held 2:00 pm to 6:00 pm Friday, December 17, 2021 at Harris Funeral Home & Cremations of  MT. Gilead, NC which is serving the DeBerry, Hill and extended families.

Ms. Daphne Marie Hill DeBerry, a daughter of the late Jesse James Hill, Sr and Jennie Mae Baldwin Hill, was born on October 27, 1962, in  Montgomery County, NC.  

Daphne attended and graduated from East Montgomery High School, Biscoe, NC and Montgomery Technical Institute (now Montgomery Community College),Troy, NC.  Daphne was a loving and caring individual as she assisted in the caretaking of her mother and sisters.  Daphne worked with Randolph Health and Rehabilitation for over 20 years where she was adored and admired by her co-workers and residents.  She also recently worked with Family First Home Care and was able to care for her older sister, Martha Hill.  Daphne was known for her beautiful smile and outgoing personality as she always brightened up the room when she entered.  Daphne loved spending time with her beautiful daughter and grandchildren.  Daphne was also known as "Marie" by Tobias;' loved calling her sisters and special friends  daily.  She will be sorely missed.

  She was preceded in death by her parents; her brothers, Frederick Hill, Johnny Hill and Thomas Hill; sisters, Cynthia Hill Little and Gracie Hill; niece. Sonya Hill and nephew, Benji Hill.

Left to cherish her memories are her  daughter, Tylea S DeBerry; three grandchildren, Rydrell "Pooh" Crouch, Hayden :Taydee" Crough an Ryetavious "George " Crouch, all of Browns Summitt, NC; lifetime partner and caretaker, Tobias Horne of the home; sisters, Earnestine Cameron (James) of Greensboro, NC, Selma Hill of Charlotte, NC Mary and Martha Hill, both of Candor, NC; brothers, Jesse James Hill of Southern Pines, NC; Min. Robert Hill (Tonnette) of Sanford, NC, Ivory and Antonio Hill (Brigette) all of Candor, NC; aunt, Josephine  Baldwin of Candor, NC; uncle, Harvey Hill (Emma) of Wadeville, NC; brother-in-law, Richard Little; sisters-in-law, Sheila Hill and Vanessa Hill; special friends, Brigette Pollard, Monique Eubanks, Anita Taylor and Shirley Martin; loving nieces, nephews, and cousins.
