Daevon Keshaun Hammond

MR. DAEVON KESHAUN HAMMOND, 22 OF ALBEMARLE, NC, passed away suddenly, Friday, May 27, 2022, 

Funeral services will be held at 3:00 p.m. Saturday, June 4, 2022 at the Leah Richter Levin Auditorium, 102 S. School Street, Mt. Gilead, NC, with burial to follow in the Bruton Cemetery, 500 Bruton Cemetery  Road, Wadeville, NC.

Public Viewing will be held Friday, June 3, 2022 from 2:00 p.m. until 6:00 p.m. at the Harris Funeral Home and Cremations of Mt. Gilead..  Due to the Covid 19 Pandemic still in effect, we ask that you please wear a face mask or a facial covering before entering and exiting the funeral home in respect of the family, our staff and our community.  Also use the Hand Sanitizing Station upon entering and exiting the funeral home.  Thank you for your attention to this matter.

Daevon Keshaun Hammond, son of Steven Lilly and Monique Richardson, was born on Wednesday, December 15, 1999 in Stanly County, NC, and departed this earthly life on Friday, morning, May 27, 2022.

He was a graduate of West Montgomery High School, Mt. Gilead, NC Class of 2018 and continued his education at Montgomery Community College, Troy, NC. He was employed by Allandale of Troy, NC.

He was preceded in death by his paternal grandfather, Douglas Knox.

Daevon leaves to cherish loving memories to his father, Steven Lilly of Reidsville, NC; his mother, Monique Richardson of Albemarle, NC; one sister, Kayla Richardson of Albemarle, NC; one brother, Allen Hammond of Albemarle, NC; his paternal grandmother, Brenda McLeod Lilly of Wadeville, NC; his paternal grandmother, Angela Little of Albemarle, NC, maternal grandfather, Ernest Smith of Albemarle, NC; and a host of aunts, uncles, cousins, and dear friends.
