Robert Lee Monroe

Mr. Robert Lee " Rob Base" Monroe, 60, of the Wadeville Community of Mt. Gilead, NC, passed away Friday, October 24, 2025 in the Novant-North East Medical Center, Concord, NC.

Funeral Services will be held at 2:30 p.m. Sunday, November 2, 2025 at Roper Grove AME Zion Church, 196 Roper Grove Church Road, Mt. Gilead, NC.  Burial to follow in the church cemetery.

Public viewing will be held on Saturday, November 1, 2025 from 1p.m. until  5p.m. at Harris Funeral Home and Cremations.  Burial to follow in the church cemetery.   

 A 1983 graduate of West Montgomery High School, Mt. Gilead, NC, he is survived by his mother, Mrs. Annette Peterkin Monroe of Biscoe, NC; brother-in-love/cousin, Colten Peterkin of the home; nephews; Marvin and Emmanuel McCauley, Troy and Nigel Monroe; aunts, Verlina Collins, Minister Margie LeGrand and Reba Peterkin, cousins and friends.  He was preceded in death by his father, Robert Earl Monroe and  a brother, Hosea Monroe; grandparents, Ben Monroe and Johnsie Baldwin, Bessie and Harrison Benjamin Peterkin and niece, Brigette Monroe.
