PASTOR JOHN CHALMERS WILLIAMS, 66 of DETROIT, MI formerly of MONROE, NC passed away November 11, 2016 at the Veterans Memorial Hospital in Detroit, MI. A graveside service with military honors will be held 11:00 am Saturday, July 1, 2017 at Hillcrest Cemetery in Monroe, NC.
Born Thursday, April 27, 1950 in Monroe, NC, he was a son of Civil Rights Legends Robert Franklin Williams, Sr. and Mable Ola Robinson Williams. He was also preceded in death by other than his parents, a brother, Robert Franklin "Bobby" Williams, Jr., and a nephew; Robert Franklin Williams, III.
John leaves to cherish fond and loving memories to his wife; Lisa Mackey Williams of the home, one brother; Benjiman Williams of Detroit, MI; one nephew; Benjiman Williams; two nieces; Callie Williams and Sasha Willams all of Detroit, MI and a host of cousins and friends.
