(SGM US ARMY Ret.) Virginia Nancy "Gin" CHERRY-SMITH, 72 of BOWIE, MD formerly of Union County, NC passed away Friday, June 6, 2025 at the Walter Reed National Military Medical Center in Bethesda, MD.
Funeral Services will be held 11:00 am Saturday, June 21, 2025 at the Marvin A.M.E. Zion Church, 1525 Crane Rd., Waxhaw, NC. SGM Cherry-Smith remains will lie in repose 10:00 am to 11:00 am at the church prior to the service. Military Honors and Interment will follow in the church cemetery.
A public viewing will be held 2:00 pm to 6:00 pm Friday, June 20, 2025 at Harris Funeral Home & Cremations of Monroe, NC which is serving the Smith, Cherry, Ivey and extended families.
