Martin Little , Jr.

MR. MARTIN LITTLE,  Jr., 64 OF MT. GILEAD, NC, died Sunday, September 21, 2014, at his residence. Funeral Services will be Wednesday, September 24, 2014, at 1p.m., at Oliver Grove Missionary Baptist Church,  with the Reverend John A. Jackson, eulogist, 232 Davis Haywood Road, Mangrum Community, Mt. Gilead, NC., with  burial in the church cemetery with military rites.

Martin was a son of the late Martin Kit Little, Sr.,  and Hattie Medley Little, born on  Saturday, October 29, 1949, in Richmond County, NC. He attended the public schools of Richmond County.  He was a US Army Veteran, where he was a Specialist.  At his church, Oliver Grove Missionary Baptist Church,  he was a Trustee and Steward and a fatih member until his health began to fail.

Survivors include son, Jermaine Little (Takiasha) of Mt. Gilead, NC, and daughters, Lavonnie Rena Simmons (Matthew) of Johnsonville, NC, and Carrie  Little of Mt. Gilead, NC; four sisters, Lucy Little of the home; Verline House (Reverend Columbus) of Mt. Gilead, Alvina House (Lacy) of Biscoe, NC, and Margie  Bea White (Rudolph) Richmond, VA; one brother, Daniel Little of Troy, NC; seven grandchildren; Natajha, Matthew and Silas Simmons, Keana, LaDana, Joseph and Joshua Little of Mt. Gilead, NC; one great-granddaughter, Zamiya Little of Mt. Gilead, NC; 12 nieces and nephews,  Margaret,  Keisha, Cynthia, Barbara, Augusta, Dinah, Temeka, Lashone, Colisha, Roderick, Tarvis and Keldron, cousins and other relatives and friends.
