Larry Edwin Hood, Sr.

MR. LARRY EDWIN HOOD, SR., 54 of WAXHAW, NC, died Monday, November 7, 2016 at his home.

A memorial service in his honor will be held 1:30pm Sunday, November 13, 2016,  at the Harris Funeral Home Memorial Chapel with visitation to be held 1:00pm to 1:30pm, prior to the service in the chapel.

Larry Edwin Hood, Sr., was  a son of the late Samuel L. Hood, Sr., and Edna Heggins Hood.  He was born on Monday, July 23, 1962, in Mecklenburg County, NC.  He answered the call of the Master, on Monday, November 7, 2016, at his home.

Larry was sociable and loved to help people.   He was a great father and husband.  He was not always pleasant but we had a lot of laughs.

He was retired and was formerly a regional manager for Continental Building Maintenance.  He was a member of The Presbyterian Church in Waxhaw, NC.  He got along with his in-laws (wife's siblings).

Larry was a Washington Redskins fan and loved wrestling.  He was great with small children, babies and especially with his only granddaughter, Avianna.  He was a great cook and his favorite passtime was eating barbeque chicken.

Larry was united in holy matrimony to Sharon A. Hood and to this union three children were born, Candace Nicole, Larry Jr., and Krystofer.

He was preceded in death by his parents, wife Sharon A. Hood and siblings, Samuel Hood, Jr., Grady Howard Hood, Artis Hood, Charles Hood, Wesley Hood and Janet Hood.

He leaves to cherish loving and fond memories to his three children, Candace Nicole Pascual(Diego) of Charlotte, NC, Larry (LJ) Hood, Jr., of Monroe, NC and Krystofer Hood of Waxhaw, NC; one granddaughter, Avianna Pascual; two brothers, Roy Hood (Catherine) of New York and Harry Hood of Waxhaw, NC; three sisters, Linda Morris of Colorado, Brenda Crockett of Monroe, NC and Annette Brown of New York, and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends.
