MR. JAMES BOYD FUNDERBURK, JR. of MONROE, NC passed away Wednesday, April 5, 2017.
Funeral Service will be held 2:00pm Sunday, April 9, 2017 at the Harris Funeral Home Memorial Chapel in Monroe, NC. Interment will follow in the Hillcrest Cemetery in Monroe, NC.
A public veiwing will be held 12:00pm to 7:00pm Saturday, April 8, 2017 at Harris Funeral Home & Cremation Service of Monroe, NC.
James was born to the late James Boyd Funderburk,Sr., and Velvie Baker Funderburk. He departed this life on Wednesday, April 5, 2017, in Charlotte, NC.
James was preceded in death by his parents; son, James B. Funderburk III; brothers, John E. Baker, Sammie L. Funderburk and a sister, Rachel L Funderburk.
He leaves to cherish loving and fond memories to is daughter, Mary E. Oliver; one son, Chris Merlin; 3 brothers, Joe L. Baker ( Rose) of Charlotte, NC, Freddie Funderburk of Waxhaw, NC and Mickey Funderburk of Monroe, NC; 2 sisters, Martha Houser ad Wanda Westfield of Monroe, NC; two aunts, Dorothy Wilson and Lillian Collins of Charlotte, NC and a host of nieces, nephews cousins and friends.
