MSGT. USMC RET. George Henry Knight, Jr.

MSGT. USMC RET.  GEORGE HENRY "Boot" KNIGHT, JR., 85, of MT. GILEAD, NC passed away Wednesday, April 2, 2025 at his home.

Mr. Knight was also a Retired Captain of the North Carolina Department of Corrections (Southern Correctional Institute, Troy, NC)  and former Montgomery County Commissioner.

Funeral Services will be held  2:00 pm Sunday, April 6, 2025 at the McAuley Memorial A.M.E. Zion Church, 2829 NC Hwy. 109 S., MT. Gilead, NC. Mr. Knights remains will lie in repose 1:00 pm to 2:00 pm at the church prior to the service.  Military Honors and Internment will be held 2:30 pm Monday, April 7, 2025 at the Salisbury National Cemetery, 501 Statesville Blvd., Salisbury, NC.

A public viewing will be held 1:00 pm to 5:00 pm Saturday, April 5, 2025 at Harris Funeral Home & Cremations of MT. Gilead, NC which is serving the Knight and extended families.
