MS. ERNESTINE COVINGTON, 81 of MONROE, NC passed away Monday, June 8, 2026 at her home.
Funeral Services will be held 1:00 pm Monday, June 15, 2026 at the Mount Calvary AME Zion Church, 800 La Salle St., Monroe, NC. Ms. Covington remains will lie in repose 12:00 pm to 1:00 in the church sanctuary prior to the service. Interment will follow in the Hillcrest Cemetery in Monroe, NC.
A public viewing will be held 1:00 pm to 5:00 pm Sunday, June 14, 2025 at Harris Funeral Home & Cremations of Monroe, NC which is serving the Covington, Redfern and extended families.
