Charlie Bob Rushing

MR. CHARLIE BOB RUSHING of MONROE, NC passed away Tuesday, November 17, 2020 at Atrium Health / Union in Monroe, NC.

Graveside Services will be held 1:00 pm Sunday, November 22, 2020 at the Hillcrest Cemetery, 1002 Adams St., Monroe, NC.

(Due to the COVID 19 Pandemic everyone attending the service must wear a mask or facial covering  at the service and during the Public viewing at the Funeral Home and use the Hand Sanitizing  Station when entering an exiting the building.)

A public viewing will be held 2:00 pm to 8:00 pm Saturday, November 21, 2020 at Harris Funeral Home & Cremations of Monroe, NC.

He was the son of the late Fletcher Covington and  Josie Mae Rushing.

Bob served as a member of Union Chapel Baptist Church and as a Deacon at Crossroads Holiness Church.

Those preceding him in death were his parents, Fletcher Covington and Josie Mae Rushing; his wife, Martha Mae Rushing; a daughter, Linda Barbour; seven brothers and five sisters.

He leaves to cherish loving and fond memories to his two daughters; Brenda Hood (James) of Monroe, NC and Mary Alice Steele (Robert) of Canton, OH.; 13 grandchildren, and a host of  nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and dear friends.
