Mr. Alvin Jasper Horne, 80 of Lynchburg, Virginia, formerly of Troy, NC, passed away this morning, Friday, July 10, 2026, in the Centra Lynchburg General Hospital, Lynchburg, VA.

Funeral Services will be held 1:00 p.m. Friday, July 24, 2026 at St.  Stephen's United Church of God, 518  S. Main Street, Troy, NC. Burial to follow in the Bruton Cemetery, 142 Bruton Cemetery Road, Mt. Gilead, NC..  The body will lie in repose from 12:00 noon until 1:00 p.m. prior to the service.   

Public viewing will be held Thursday, July 23, 2026  from 2:00 p.. until 6:00 p.m. at  Harris Funeral Home and  Cremations of Mt. Gilead, NC.
