MR. CHRISTOPHER "Chris" WOODARD, 61 of MT. GILEAD, NC passed away Tuesday, May 26, 2020 at Atrium Health-Main in Charlotte, NC.

A Graveside Service will be held 3:00 pm Tuesday, June 2, 2020 at the Saint Luke Church of God Church Cemetery, 542 Parkertown Road, MT. Gilead, NC.

There will be no public viewing.  Harris Funeral Home & Cremations of MT. Gilead, NC  is serving the Woodard, Parker and extended families.

Christopher Woodard, was born on Saturday, June 21, 1958, In Montgomery Counry, North Carolina to the late Alexander and Carrie Louise Parker Woodard.  He departed his earthly life on Tuesday, May 26, 2020, in the Atrium Health -CMC Main, Charlotte, North Carolina.

Chris was a member of St. Luke Church of God, Mt. Gilead, NC.  Chris also attended the public schools of Montgomery County and was a graduate of West Montgomery High School Class of 1976.  He attended  North Carolina A&T State University in Greensboro, NC.

Chris was employed for many years at Collins and Aikman as a mechanic until he retired.

Chris was a soloist, DJ, and a photographer. He loved music and there wasn't a son that he didn't know.  He was a member of the Mt. Gilead Ensemble for 14 years .  He sang and took pictures for many different occaisons.  Chris was a lovable person.  He was a helper and a giver and never met a stranger.  He will be sorely missed,

He was preceded in death by his parents; brothers, David Allen Woodard, Sr., and Herbert Woodard, sr.

Christ leaves everlasting memories to his sister, Bertha Mae Woodard of Mt. Gilead, NC; three brothers, Alvin Woodard (Kenya) of Raleigh, NC, Craig Woodard (Arlene) of Mt. Gilead, NC and James Alex Woodard of Raeford, NC; two aunts, Mary Graham and Nora Lewis, both of Mt. Gilead, NC ; one uncle, Walter McNeil of Fayetteville, NC; five special friends, Vancie Martin, Patricia Collins, Crystal Collins, Lena Mae Steele, Walter Morrison, and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

We the Willie Ray Miller and Robertha Tyson Miller Family would like to offer our condolences to your family at this time. We know that losing family members is hard for our flesh. In our Spirits we thank God for his love and kindness. Even when we might not deserve his perfect love, he's Always there to give it when we allow him. Chris was a classmate and friend at West Montgomery High. We also remained friends whenever we happened to cross paths as adults. I'll always remember him at the dances doing the ROBOT!!

He was a great guy.
