MR. SAMUEL EUGENE MORRISON, JR., 59 of INDIAN TRAIL, NC passed away Thursday, April 19, 2018 at Novant Health / Matthews Medical Center in Matthews, NC.
Funeral Services will be held 1:00 pm Monday, April 23, 2018 at the Harris Funeral Home Memorial Chapel in Monroe, NC. Interment will follow in the Suncrest Cemetery in Monroe, NC. A public viewing will be held 1:00 pm to 6:00 pm Sunday, April 22, 2018 at Harris Funeral Home & Cremations of Monroe, NC.
Born Sunday, April 20, 1958 in Charlotte, NC, he was a son of Mrs. Bessie Lee Morrison and the late Samuel Morrison, Sr. "Sam" & "Gene" as he was so fondly called by family and friends, was educated in the Union County Public School System and was a graduate of Sun Valley High School in Monroe, NC. He was a longtime employee (over 30 years) with Harrell Brothers Landscaping Company until his retirement.
He leaves fond and cherished memories to his Mother, Bessie Lee Morrison of Monroe, NC; three sisters, Cynthia McLarty (Harvey), Valarie Morrison and Donna Morrison; one brother; Broderick Morrison all of Monroe, NC, his longtime companion, Margie Williams and her children; Calvin Williams and Pamela Peterson (Pete) all of Indian Trail, NC; three; grandchildren, three aunts, one niece, two nephews and a host of cousins and friends.
