PO 1 CYNTHIA PULETTE REDFERN MATHEWS, USN Ret., 63 of MONROE, NC passed away Wednesday, March 2, 2016 at Monroe Rehabilitation Center in Monroe, NC.  

Funeral Services will be held 3:00pm Sunday, March 6, 2016 at the Harris Funeral Home Memorial Chapel with a Visitation 2:30 pm to 3:00 pm in the Chapel prior to the service.

 A public viewing will be held 1:00 pm to 7:00 pm Saturday, March 5, 2016 at the Harris Funeral Home Chapel in Monroe, NC.

 Military Honors and Interment will be held March 9, 2016 at 11:00 am at Salisbury Nation Cemetery in Salisbury, NC.

Born in Union County, NC, Friday, February 27, 1953 a daughter of the late Harold Kenneth and Emma  Elizabeth Robinson Redfern. A graduate of Monroe High School and a US Navy Retiree 20 years of dedicated service.

Survivors include her son Jamie Mathews and her daughter Sheena Mathews both of Virginia Beach, VA, two brothers; David Redfern and Stephen Redfern both of Monroe, NC and her grand daughter Shayla Mathews of Virginia Beach, VA and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
