Emily loved knitting and garage sale hunting.  She was always looking for a good deal.  She was alwaus busy and in a rush.  Driving above the speed limit always and never receiving a ticket.   When stopped by the police , she would say, "officer  really,  I was driving that fast"?  Somehow she managed to talk herself of a ticket and a warning.  Emily was always  health conscious and walked to achieve a fit body.

Above all, Emily loved the Lord and the things of the Lord.  She attended Oneness Pentecostal Tabernacle and was baptized in Jesus's name and recieved the gift of the holy ghost spirit, where she was a member until she moved away.  The members were her extended family and she vacationed  and went on church gatherings with them

She leaves behind two children, Maria Simms and Fabian (Denniis) Wray, who is married to Helen Wray; grandchildren, Sheril Wray, Keisha Wray, Erica Thornton (Bryan), Matthew Wray (Liana); great-grandchildrenk Bryson Thorntonk Chad Joseph Wray, Layla Wray and Blake Thornton; sister, Raynez  Thompson, Inez Whyte, Agnes Hall and 'Henrey Johnson, and a host of nieces, nephews.

Emily  was a fearless warrior.  She was very direct and afraid of no one or anything.  She loved children and cared for their educational advancement.  She was very kind and the young people around her knew they could always get a few bucks out of her.
