The angels are waiting in heaven for our beloved, Rosa Lee McDonald, who was affectionately known as "Pot", by family and friends, was born on Thursday, May 30, 1918, in Chatham County; North Carolina.  She was the fifth child born to the late Samuel McDonald and Maggie Rush McDonald.  She exchanged time for eternity on Saturday, April 18, 2020.

" Pot " accepted Christ at an early age and joined Mountain Grove AME Zion Church, where she was a faithful member until her health began to decline.  She attended the public schools of Montgomery County.  She was self employed and helped many families in the community.

" Pot " loved to fish, cook and bake cakes for all who wanted one and she made the best tea!  " Pot " loved everyone and she would speak her mind and didn't take no junk!  She loved to have fun and was a comedian.

She was recently honored by the Mt. Gilead Concerned Citizens on February 22, 2020, for being the oldest Distinguished Citizens in Mt. Gilead, NC.

Preceding her in death were her parents; daughter, Mary Helen Johnson and sons, Sandy McDonald and Boysie McDonald; two brothers, Lendo McDonald and Sandy McDonald; five sisters, Dorothy Little, Ozella Gordon, Ardelia Hayes, Laelah Baines and Annie Mae McDonald.  She will sorely missed in the home and community.
